Omar Mora was born and raised on the island of Puerto Rico. His passion to help others led him to study medicine. Throughout his life, Omar always dreamed of becoming an actor. The decision to pursue this dream became a reality on September 11, 2001. While working a rotation at a hospital in downtown NYC, he witnessed the tragedy that led to his decision to become an actor. He started taking acting classes in 2005 while he was doing his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Saint Vincent Hospital in NYC. He started at The School for Film and Television in Manhattan, NY, where he studied for 2 years. After studied in NYC he decided to move to Los Angeles to continue to pursue his dream. Since then he has been actively working as an actor in many independent films.
Omar also like to help and lend his energy for non-profit organizations. In 2009 he becomes the spokesperson and a medical volunteer of Selva In Action, a non-profit organization that works in the Amazon jungle in Peru. In addition to be an actor and activist, He loves to write. He finished co- writing two feature films “La Guayaba” and “TXT”. Omar also enjoys being active and playing volleyball, basketball and golf.
