      Uploading Instructions:
    • Click Upload and find the vid file on your local computer (maximum size of 900 Mb). Note It is recommended that you make your filename "server friendly." Make sure the filename has no spaces, apostrophes, slashes, uppercase letters, or other non-alphanumeric characters (such as $, % and &). Rename the file before uploading if it does. To preserve readability, some people replace spaces with the underline character. For instance, My File Name.mov becomes my_file_name.mov.
    • Select the file on your computer, just like you were navigating to and opening a file in a word-processing program, and click Open. The dialog box will close and the upload will begin immediately. Please, do not close your browser window while uploading or it will cancel the upload session.

      Having trouble uploading?
    • Depending on your connection speed and the size of the video, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours to upload a video. Generally, if you have a high-speed Internet connection you can expect the upload to take somewhere between 1-5 minutes for every 1 MB. However, the experience is different for every user because of the variation in connection speeds. You can test your upload bandwidth at http://www.speedtest.net.
    • If you are receiving an error with your upload, you might want to make sure you're attempting to upload a file that is smaller than 1 GB; for all files over 1 GB or any other issues, email the Somebodys's Basement Technical Support team for additional assistance.
